If you have a skill, apply it; the world must profit by it, and, therefore, You.“
Have you fallen into the rut of those travelled by the never-do-wells, those that class themselves as a failure and are insolvent.
Time to get out of that before you destroy yourself.
Whatsoever you desire that is good, is yours, you have but to stretch forth your hand and take it.
- Man should not be blinded to whatsoever merit exists in the opportunity which he hath in hand, remembering that a thousand promises for the future should weigh as naught against the possession of a single piece of silver.
- Fortune is ever elusive, and can only be retained by force. Deal with her tenderly and she will forsake you for a stronger man. (In that, methinks, she is not unlike other women of my knowledge)
- Failure exists only in the grave. Man, being alive, hath not yet failed; always he may turn about and ascend by the same path he descended by; and there may be one that is less abrupt (albeit longer of achievement) and more adaptable to his condition.
- Seek comrades among the industrious, for those who are idle will sap your energies from you.
- The Ishmaelite and the leper are the same, since both are abominations in the sight of man—albeit they differ much, in that the former may be restored to perfect health. The former is entirely the result of imagination; the latter has poison in his blood.
- A person’s downfalls and low points are entirely the product of a negative, self-defeating mindset (the minus-entity). To overcome adversity, a student must reject this submissive attitude and fully embrace their inherent inner strength, confidence, and determination (the plus-entity). By taking immediate action and refusing to allow self-doubt or fear to govern their mind, an individual can reclaim control over their life and achieve success.

Lesson 1: Value present opportunities. Do not be blinded by future promises; a single certain success in your hand right now is worth far more than a thousand unfulfilled promises.
Lesson 2: Forcefully retain your fortune. Wealth and success are elusive and will not stick around if you treat them passively; you must boldly coerce and maintain control over your good fortune.
Lesson 3: Failure only exists in death. As long as you are alive, you have not truly failed; you always possess the power to turn around and climb back up the path to success.
Lesson 4: Choose industrious companions. Avoid surrounding yourself with idle or lazy people, as they will inevitably sap away your focus, energy, and drive.
Lesson 5: Overcome the victim mindset. Isolating yourself and believing the whole world is against you is a destructive illusion created entirely by your own negative imagination.
Lesson 6: Dominate your mindset. True success comes from completely rejecting your fearful, submissive self (the minus-entity) and fully embodying your confident, action-oriented inner strength (the plus-entity) to take control of your life.
