Our second Affirmation to help us get what we really want
“I AM happy, I AM healthy, and I AM wealthy”.
Three short declarations, said long before they become true.
What we declare today shapes the identity we live in tomorrow.
3 John 1:2 “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…”
The three statements functions as a psychological and behavioral pattern interrupter. Instead of acting like a magic spell that changes external reality overnight, repeating these specific “I AM” statements affects our lives through proven psychological mechanisms:
1. Interrupting the “Negative Loop”
Most people carry an automatic inner dialogue dominated by scarcity or exhaustion (e.g., “I’m so tired,” “I can’t afford this,” “Everything is going wrong”).
- The Effect: Constantly repeating those statements causes them to solidify into your felt identity.
- The Correction: Intentionally stating “I AM happy, healthy, and wealthy” forces a cognitive pattern interrupt. It breaks the default cycle of negative self-talk and redirects your brain’s focus toward constructive states.
2. Activating the Reticular Activating System (RAS)
Your brain filters out millions of pieces of data every second based on what you deem important.
- The Effect: When you declare “I AM wealthy” or “I AM happy,” you are programming your brain’s filter (the RAS) to scan your environment for opportunities.
- The Result: You start actively noticing solutions, healthy choices, or financial ideas that you previously would have ignored because your brain was too busy filtering for problems and stress.
3. Shifting Your Emotional and Physical State
Neuroscience shows that the brain does not always distinguish between a vividly imagined statement and real-time reality.
- The Effect: Saying “I AM healthy” can lower your immediate stress response. Lower cortisol allows your nervous system to leave the “fight-or-flight” survival mode and enter a state of rest and repair.
- The Result: With lower anxiety, you sleep better, think more clearly, and make better long-term decisions regarding your wellness and finances.
4. Building Behavioral Identity
We naturally act in alignment with who we believe we are.
- The Effect: If you view yourself as a unhealthy or broke person, your habits will unconsciously mirror that identity.
- The Result: Affirming “I AM healthy” primes you to choose nutritional food or go for a walk because “that is what a healthy person does.” It bridges the gap between who you are today and the habits you want to keep reinforcing.
And tomorrow, our final affirmation to help us along or path to success.
