How Heavy is this glass of water?

Some say that the weight of a glass of water depends on its volume on its size and the weight of the glass itself.
However, “It’s not the weight of the water and the glass that will eventually tire the arm holding it…
It all depends on how long you hold on to it.
Now, Stress works the same way.
A small worry held for a short time seems manageable.
However: holding it for a day, the pain begins.
Hold onto this for a week, a month, or even a year, and it becomes unbearable.
The issue is not just the weight of what you carry.
It is that you have forgotten how to put it down and rid yourself of its weight.
- How to breathe while carrying this burden.
- How to maneuver through it.
- and how to safety trust again.
The nervous system needs healing and that begins, not with force, but by releasing that which no longer serves you.
Not by fighting it, but with feeling love and it letting go.
Psalm 55, states, “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved”
The above verse encourages you to release your anxieties and burdens to God, trusting that He will sustain you and ensure you are not ultimately shaken or defeated. The promise is not that burdens will disappear, but that God will uphold and support you through these challenging times.
